ACCRA / LONDON, June 2026 — Six years is a long time in music. Long enough for genres to rise and fall, for scenes to shift, and for fans to wonder if their favourite artist will ever return. For Joey B, Ghana’s most distinctive creative voice, that wait is finally over.

Today, Joey B announces the release of SEXY HIGHLIFE, his third studio album, arriving June 10, 2026. His first body of work since Lava Feels in 2020 — a project that arrived just as COVID shuttered the world — SEXY HIGHLIFE is the album Joey B has spent five years earning the right to make.

Inspired by an extended stay in New York throughout 2024, Joey B found himself immersed in the Sexy Drill wave pioneered by Cash Cobain — a sound drenched in romance, texture, and West Indian DNA. The spark was immediate: what if that same sensibility collided with Ghana’s most enduring genre?

The result is SEXY HIGHLIFE — a genre-blending statement that bridges Accra and the Diaspora sound,, the past and the future, Highlife legend and contemporary edge. It is the most ambitious and personal project of Joey B’s career.

The album carries deep emotional weight. Two of its centrepiece tracks — Akosua Broni and Princess — sample the late, beloved Ghanaian Highlife icon Daddy Lumba, who passed away in July 2025. The interpolations serve as both tribute and torch-passing: a son of the culture honouring its architect.

SEXY HIGHLIFE features an 9-track tracklist with collaborations that span generations and geographies. The focus track Akosua Broni features Bosom P Yung; while Exopa reunites Joey B with frequent collaborator and Nigeria’s Alté pioneer Odunsi (The Engine). Kyeiwaa ft Bisa Kdei is the dedicated Ghana radio cut, built to move across the country.

Pre-release singles have already demonstrated extraordinary traction. Princess - nearly 5 million streams, generated over 350,000 UGC videos on TikTok, and reached #4 on Ghana’s Shazam chart - purely on audience love. Suzzy Williams, Akorfa, Yaa Abrefi, News at 7 followed, each deepening the Sexy Highlife sonic world and cementing the project’s anticipation.

Joey B is one of the most decorated and distinctive artists in Ghanaian music history. With over 150 million worldwide streams, 3M+ followers across Instagram and X, and 25M+ YouTube views, and a multiple Ghana Music Awards winner. His collaborative credits read as a who’s who of pan-African music: Sarkodie, Mr Eazi, King Promise, BOJ, Falz, Vic Mensa.
