Accra, Ghana – [19/03/25] – Rising Ghanaian rapper NSRB Dray has finally unveiled the meaning behind his stage name, shedding light on its deep personal significance. Speaking at Amplify Ghana’s just-ended Creatives Connect event, held at Vibrate Space in Accra, NSRB Dray shared that ‘NSRB’ stands for ‘Nsaraba,’ a Twi word meaning “the alcohol seller’s child.” He explained that the name is a tribute to his mother’s occupation and a reflection of his pride in his roots.

The Creatives Connect event, organized by Amplify Ghana, was a resounding success, bringing together over 100 stakeholders—including musicians, producers, artists, music marketers, journalists, and industry executives—on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Vibrate Space. Hosted during Ghana’s Independence Day weekend, the event provided a vibrant atmosphere for networking, collaboration, and meaningful discussions on the Ghanaian music scene. Attendees engaged in insightful conversations, intentional relationship-building, and strategic connections to expand their reach within the industry.

During his revelation, NSRB Dray expressed gratitude for his upbringing, emphasizing how his mother’s work shaped his resilience and drive as an artist. “I chose the name ‘Nsaraba’ to honor my mother. Her hustle and dedication inspire me every day, and I carry that with me in my music,” he stated.

With over 20 projects released since his music career began in 2018, NSRB Dray continues to establish himself as a dynamic voice in Ghana’s hip-hop and trap scene. His performance at Creatives Connect was a highlight of the night, solidifying his presence as a rising force in the industry.
