Accra, Ghana — 1st July 2026 — WAVVI, the music distribution and artist services platform built for African artists, has announced a strategic partnership with Rain Labs, the artist development, marketing and strategy company, to provide premium artist services to musicians across Ghana, Nigeria and the wider West African market.
Launched in Ghana earlier this year, WAVVI has already onboarded over 10,000 users in its first two months of operations, positioning it as one of the fastest-growing new music infrastructure platforms in the region. Through this collaboration, WAVVI will now expand beyond distribution by offering artists access to hands-on strategic support designed to help them release music more effectively, grow their audiences and build sustainable careers.
The partnership will see Rain Labs offer a range of advisory and campaign services directly through the WAVVI platform, giving independent artists access to professional guidance around release strategy, artist development, DSP strategy, playlist pitching, marketing, social media growth, PR and sync opportunities.
WAVVI combines digital music distribution, mobile money payouts, analytics and artist tools into one platform. By integrating Rain Labs’ expertise into the WAVVI ecosystem, artists will be able to access professional services at key moments in their release journey — from early feedback and campaign planning to DSP strategy and wider audience development.
Speaking on the partnership, Tom Russell & Y’akoto, Co- Founders of WAVVI, said:
“WAVVI was created to give African artists the tools, access and infrastructure they need to release, promote and earn from their music globally. Onboarding over 10,000 users in Ghana in our first two months shows the scale of demand from artists across the market. Partnering with Rain Labs allows us to add a premium artist services layer to the platform, giving artists not just distribution, but real strategic guidance around how to build their careers.”
The collaboration will initially focus on Ghana, with plans to expand across Nigeria and the wider West African market over time.
Through the partnership, artists using WAVVI will be able to purchase Rain Labs services directly via the platform. Services will include release strategy consultations, artist feedback sessions, DSP strategy, playlist pitching support, social media strategy, campaign planning and selected sync placement opportunities.
The partnership reflects WAVVI’s wider ambition to become a one-stop platform for African artists, combining distribution, payments, analytics, promotion and professional development into a single ecosystem.
Albert Donkor, Founder of Rain Labs said:
“Rain Labs is excited to partner with WAVVI to support the next generation of African artists. There is incredible talent across the continent, but many artists still lack access to professional strategy, marketing and development support. This partnership is about making those services more accessible and helping artists approach their releases with clarity, structure and ambition.”
The Rain Labs service offering is expected to be integrated into the WAVVI platform as part of WAVVI’s next phase of artist tools and premium services.
